Meet Dr. Mekari, D.D.S.

Dr. Ammar Alessio Mekari is the esteemed owner of "Mekari Medspa and Aesthetics" and "Mekari Dental Studio and Spa". With a profound passion for enhancing beauty and crafting radiant smiles, Dr. Mekari brings a wealth of expertise and experience to his practice. He graduated with honors from LSU in Baton Rouge with a degree in Microbiology and obtained his DDS degree from LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans. 



Dr. Mekari is a distinguished member of various professional organizations, including the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics (AAFE), the international Academy of Facial Aesthetics (IAFA), the American Medspa Association (Am Spa) and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), among others.

 He is committed to continuous learning, with nearly 2000 CME hours post-graduation. Dr. Mekari's extensive training certifications cover a range of procedures, showcasing his dedication to excellence in Facial Aesthetics and Smile Makeover. 

His focus on enhancing natural beauty and commitment to patient care make him a trusted professional in the field.

Dr. Mekari finds joy in traveling for both educational and leisure purposes, as well as spending quality time with his family, friends, and 10-year-old son. He maintains a healthy lifestyle by engaging in weight training and cardio exercises regularly, and enjoys activities such as snow skiing, beach volleyball, and playing the drums.

Meet Alisha Cannon, FNP-C

Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

With more than 22 years of experience in medicine, Alisha Cannon, FNP-C embodies the art and science of modern, luxury wellness care. Her career spans executive healthcare leadership, advanced clinical practice, and elite aesthetic and wellness medicine, positioning her as a trusted authority in comprehensive, results-driven patient care.

Alisha is Board Certified in Family Medicine and is recognized as a Master Aesthetic Injector, Certified Weight Loss Provider, and Certified BioTE® Medical Hormone Provider. Her approach emphasizes precision-based, individualized treatment plans designed to enhance both beauty, vitality, and overall health.

Committed to excellence and lifelong learning, Alisha holds a Bacholor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA).

She is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and is currently completing board certification in Mental Health, further expanding the scope of care available to her patients. Ms. Cannon is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Association of Medical Esthetics for Nurse Practitioners. In addition to patient care, she mentors and trains physicians and nurse practitioners in primary care, hormone therapy, anti-aging medicine, and the business of building successful medical aesthetics practices, further solidifying her reputation.

Meet Tiffaney Bergeron

Tiffaney Bergeron is a highly skilled aesthetic nurse with certifications in neurotoxin injections and multiple laser procedures. Specializing in multi-wavelength laser treatments for optimal results with minimal downtime, she is also trained in SylfirmX radio frequency micro-needling to enhance patient outcomes. Skinclusive trained, Tiffaney offers safe and effective aesthetic procedures for all skin types. With a nursing degree from Charity School of Nursing and a BSN from Loyola University, she is currently pursuing a family nurse practitioner program at Loyola University New Orleans. A New Orleans native, Tiffaney enjoys spending time with loved ones, reading, immersing herself in NOLA culture, perfecting aesthetic procedures, and staying active. With over 20 years of experience in medical aesthetics, she is dedicated to safely achieving her clients' aesthetic goals.
